A Prestigious Honour

January 28, 2025

Commissionaires Awarded King Charles III Coronation Medals

Receiving the King Charles III Coronation Medal is a profound honour, recognizing individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service, dedication and contributions to Canada. For the six members of our Division of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires who were presented with this prestigious award by the Lieutenant Governor, Her Honour, the Honourable Salma Lakhani on January 28, 2025, it is a testament to their unwavering commitment to security, public safety and community service across Northern Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

This medal is not just a symbol of recognition but a reflection of the integrity, professionalism and dedication that defines the Commissionaires. We are incredibly proud of our recipients and their continued impact in the communities they serve. The Medal highlights themes that both King Charles III and Canadians hold dear, including service, the environment and sustainability, and our nation’s diversity. The Medal was designed by the Canadian Heraldic Authority, approved by His Majesty The King and manufactured by the Royal Canadian Mint.
