Indigenous Relations

Commissionaires Northern Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut Division is proud to be a partner in the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program at the ‘Committed’ level, reinforcing our dedication to meaningful and respectful relationships with Indigenous communities across northern Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and reconciliation. As a division of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires, a not-for-profit organization with a 100-year legacy of serving Canada, we recognize the responsibility we carry not only in delivering exceptional security services but also in actively contributing to the betterment of the communities we serve.

The PAIR program, formerly known as Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR), is Canada’s premier corporate social responsibility framework focused on Indigenous relations. Since 2001, it has supported organizations in building strong, respectful partnerships with Indigenous communities through improved awareness, accountability, and performance measurement.

While our legacy is deeply rooted in supporting veterans from the Canadian Armed Forces and the RCMP, we also believe in standing as leaders in the broader community. By enrolling in PAIR at the Committed level, we signal our intention to assess our current practices, learn from Indigenous partners and move toward achieving certification.

PAIR Working Committee

To ensure accountability and progress, we have established a dedicated PAIR Working Committee composed of internal leaders with a diverse range of experiences. This team will lead the implementation of the PAIR program within our division, drive continuous improvement, and serve as champions for Indigenous relations.
