The Commissionaires, in collaboration with "Mense", an Edmonton based software developer, designed a touch-tone cellular or satellite telephone and web based system to monitor employees working alone in a variety of potentially hazardous environments.  This application permits the Commissionaires to be able to take appropriate action to locate employee users as well as to facilitate rescue and/or recovery should that need arise.  Additionally, the Commissionaires can facilitate the coordination of other emergency or client based services for an employee working alone and in need.

An added feature of this system permits the user to initiate a "Confirmed" Alarm status by having their cellular or satellite telephone dial directly into the Commissionaires' Operations Centre so that they can speak immediately with an Operator.  In this situation, the Operator will determine the identity and location of the user, the nature of the emergency and take appropriate action to provide the user with a suitable response.
